Should you make notes or not?
Making notes does not simply mean to copy any book in the paper there are some scientific ways and art requires to prepare awesome notes.
Many people do not prepare notes because of the shortage of time either due to college life or job. I am not saying that without making notes you cannot get success because people have cleared exams without making notes.
But if you prepare you notes the chances of clearing the exam will increase. So you should make notes for any of the competitive exams.
Things required to make notes.
The Main Book And the Reference books:
Take only that books which contain the main weight age in the exam and then after reading that you can take the help of a reference book. Using too many books can create confusion.
Syllabus.
Look the syllabus first what are the topics that are coming in the exam because
Paper.
Don’t use any notebook or any type of register form making notes use A4 size blank sheets to prepare notes and leave some space to add topics for later.
Pens.
You can use three color pens Black, Blue, Green not more than that because using more colors will consume time and your sheet will look like a rainbow.
How to prepare notes?
To prepare good notes you need to follow these things.
Make notes after you have completed reading the topics or book at least two times.
Don’t be overanxious while making the notes understand the topic first then only start making notes because while doing revisions you cannot read from the books due to shortage of time so rather than that make notes which have all the content of the book.
Make Notes short and as concise as possible.
Your notes should be short as concise as possible the language should be simple and understandable by you if a page has 500 hundred words than you notes from that the page should contain 100 words not more than that.
Be organized.
Make notes according to subjects for example if you are preparing for NEET exam Then make a separate file for Biology, Physics and Chemistry same goes with the exams like UPSC make a separate file for each of the subjects in this way during revision you can find it quickly.
Also, make notes by following the syllabus if you do this a lot of time can be saved while revisions.
Leave Space to include more topics.
If you are giving any entrance exams like NEET, JEE, AIIMS, etc then you don’t need to leave space because the syllabus It contains is static means topics are almost same for each year.
The recruitment exams such as UPSC, State level PSC, and other exams contains dynamic syllabus in it due to aspirants needs read about current events also so to include that you need to leave some space on your notes.
Write notes pointwise in question-answer format?
The notes you are making is to clear the topics so that you can write answers in the exams so while making it write it as the pointwise in the question-answer so that you could be exam ready at the end.
How to use you note in exams?
During the exams before one month or a week start reading from your notes only at this time you don’t have any time to open a book and learn the whole book. Using notes can save your time and in that way you consume more knowledge than any other source.
Also, keep in mind in this time don’t use any other notes or book because that will create a huge distraction in your learning process.

1. Write your own notes.
Your Notes should be handwritten by you do not give any one task to write your notes because this will cause more trouble to you when you read it.
2. Make it online if possible.
Use of technology is increasing in our day to day life so try to make your notes online if possible you can use various apps and software to make notes on your phone or laptop.

3. Be an active listener.
If you have joined any coaching class for the preparation then be an active listener which means try to figure out questions like:- what will be the next question, what is the more information that you can get about a particular topic from your teacher.
Don'ts
1. Don't use a highlighter in your notes.
Using highlighter in notes can confuse you because all the notes you made contains important data rather than using it on your notes use it on books to highlight any point.
2. Don't use the bookish language.
Use simple language that you can understand don't write the bookish language.
3. Don't overexcite while making notes.
Overconfidence and overexcitement can ruin your exam while making notes you have to be calm and slowly make the notes.
